A 19th Century Steel Weymouth Curb Bit

A steel Weymouth curb bit.
This bit has a low port in its mouthpiece.
The long cheeks are fixed in position, both cheeks are stamped "Aird" and one is stamped "Steel". Robert Aird and his son William were recorded as saddlers in Glasgow in the 1830's.
The bit is in good condition with light surface oxidation that could be burnished off.
