Vintage Brass Gaucho or Vaquero Spur - Sold
This vintage brass South American spur, probably comes from Brazil or Argentina.
The heel bands have cast bands of decoration.
On one arm of the heel band there is a ring which holds two swinging buttons.
The attachments for these buttons are shaped like hands.
There is a heart shaped loop above the base of the neck, chains would have attached to this
The neck itself is straight with cast decoration.
There is a many pointed sawtooth shaped steel rowel, the middle of the rowel has heart-shaped pierced decoration
The rowel still turns.
There are no maker's marks or stamps.
Dimensions : 5¾" (14.5cm) long x 3" (7.6cm) internal width,
Rowel 1¾" (4.5cm)
