This whip has an antler or staghorn handle.
The whip has a silver collar, it is hallmarked Birmingham 1934 and has the silversmiths mark "E.N" (Ebenezer Newman & Co. who specialised in making mounts for whips and canes)
The shaft or stock is covered in dark braided leather.
One strand of the leather has been damaged (please look at the images)
It has its original stitched leather keeper and a braided thong with a cord lash.
A previous owner has forced the knot of the lash through the terminal loop of the thong - I have left this because forcing the knot back through might damage the loop further
Dimensions : Staghorn handle : 4¼" (11cm), Length (not including keeper) 18" (46cm), keeper 5½" (14cm), thong (not including lash) 42" (107cm)
Weight 184g (6½oz)
Ref : whip1271
