This long whip dates from the late 19th Century.
It is longer than modern hunting whips.
It has a staghorn handle.
It has a silver coloured (? plated) collar which is decorated with a .
fox mask.
There are no hallmarks, stamps or engravings on the collar.
The shaft or stock is made of golden brown malacca cane which has the characteristic "teardrop" shape in section,
It has its original leather loop or open keeper on its end.
This whip could be used today, particularly for handling gates from a large horse or it would look good on display
