This whip is much slimmer than modern examples.
It has an antler or staghorn handle.
There is a silver button on the heel of the staghorn stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London".
It has two silver collars with rolled edges, the hallmarks are rubbed but appear to read London 1912, the upper collar has the silversmiths mark "ESA". This collar is also stamped "Swaine" and engraved "E.L."
Between the collars the shaft is covered in chestnut brown leather
The rest of the shaft or stock is covered in braided thread (? catgut). There is a half inch bound repair. (please look at the images)
It has its original narrow stitched leather keeper which is secured by a leather sleeve.

If I've described it inaccurately, I'll refund the shipping cost as well. If there has been damage in transit, please keep the item and the packaging until we have sorted out the insurance.
