1901 Edwardian Gentleman's Hunting Whip

This whip has an antler or staghorn handle.
It has a silver collar hallmarked Birmingham 1901 & stamped with the silversmith's initials "JH" (Jonathan Howell of Henry Howell & Co.)
The collar has foliate engraved decoration and a blank oval cartouche where an owner's name could be engraved.
The shaft or stock is covered in red brown braided leather. It has a slight bow in its length.
There is a stitched leather keeper and braided thong with a terminal loop and a somewhat frayed lash.
