This is an old standing boot jack.
It is made of golden brown beech.
It has a turned handle and straight legs
The swinging central part has an opening which would hold the heel of the boot to be removed while the wearer stood on the back of this part.
The back of the opening is lined with rubber.
There is a round ivorine plaque on the swinging part which reads "Tom Hill, London SW1 (Knighstbridge) Ltd."
