42" Vintage Hunt Coat by Anderson & Shepard - Sold
This old red or scarlet hunt coat is made of heavyweight weight wool twill fabric.
There is a label in the inside pocket which reads "Anderson & Sheppard Ltd., 30 Savile Row W1" and has the client's name "J.A.Boyden Esq" and the date 21/4/76.
The coat has been well used.
It has four plain gilt front buttons and two cuff buttons on each sleeve.
The front has various dark stains especially on the left lapel.
There are a few snags and there is a ¾ inch hole in the right sleeve.
The upper lining is Tattersall checked wool, the lower lining is red wool with old moth damage, the inside of the single vent is lined in heavy brown fabric.

Base of collar to waist : 18½ inches (47cm)
From shoulder seam to shoulder seam 19 inches (48cm)
Chest (approx) 42" (106cm)
