Early 20th Century Flask & Cup in Leather Case (Flask235)

A cased flask and cup for days out shooting, racing or other country pursuits.
The flask is facet cut glass with a silver plated screw cap.
A plated cup with a gilt washed interior fits over the top of the flask.
There is a dent in one side of the cup.

The tan coloured case has a good patina, there are some stains, presumably from spilled drinks.
The lid of the case is attached by a leather strap.
The strap fastens with a buckle covered in finely stitched leather - this feature is sometimes seen on buckles that pre-date the widespread use of stainless steel, it was meant to protect from rusting.
The stitching at the top of case has come loose - I have not had this replaced because it actually helps to ease removing the flask from the case.
