Vintage Silk Top Hat Size 6⅞ in Leather Case
The inside of the hatband of this hat measures 56cm or 22", that is size 6⅞ in UK hat sizes or 7 in the USA
The hat is covered in black silk plush. There is a small (¼") rubbed area on the top of the crown (see images), but otherwise the silk is in very good condition.
The black fabric on the underside of the brim and the felt hat band have a little moth damage but both could be replaced
Inside the hat is lined in cream silk which is in good clean condition.
It is stamped "Henry Heath Limited, 105 to 109 Oxford St., London W" and monogrammed "T.W.K.".
The hat slots into a rectangular tan leather case with a brass lock and fittings.
It is monogrammed "T.W.K." and has a paper label which reads "Thos.W.Kennedy, Blackwood, ..th N.B."..
The case is in very good condition, although there is a scratch on the front.
It is labelled inside "Woodrow, Hatter, Piccadilly, London" and has its original keys.
