A large tan coloured leather case, curved to fit neatly against the body. The shoulder strap is a replacement, its length can be adjusted with a brass buckle.
It is lined in cream doeskin and has an internal partition.
Inside there is a curved glass flask, with a plated bayonet or captured cap.
There is also a curved sandwich tin, with a gilt washed interior.
In Swaine's 1933 catalogue these cost 9 pounds and 9 shillings - depending on which index used that would be around £1800 today.
