This is a fourth edition of this book, no publication date is printed but a previous owner's inscription inside is dated 1908.
The inside front page is also stamped "Thacker & Co Ltd., Bombay".
It has red cloth boards with gilt title and a horse on the front, there is no dust jacket.
The edges of the cover are worn and there are several marks on the cover.
Some of the pages are uncut.
There is a little foxing throughout and a tear to one of the title pages.
It has 9 plates showing seats and mechanical explanations.
