A 14th / 15th Century Rowel Spur

A Mediaeval spur. this spur has a revolving rowel which still turns.
It would have had eight petal shaped protrusions, one is missing and one is a little short.
It has a short neck. The heel bands are curved, they would pass below the rider's ankle bone.
There is a single eyelet on each of the arms, a decorated buckle attaches to one side.
This is an excavated spur with a degree of surface rust, it is a little fragile.
