Pair of Super Nickel Prince of Wales Spurs by Swaine and Adeney - Sold
The spurs were retailed by Swaine & Adeney.
They are made of polished nickel so probably date from the early to mid 20th century, before the widespread use of stainless steel.
The arms of the heel band are asymmetric - the outer arm is longer.
Each arm ends in an oval slot for spur straps.
The inside of the heel band is stamped "Swaine & Adeney, Best Super Nickel".
The spurs have medium length downward pointing necks with flat ends.
