A pair of heavy steel cowboy spurs with an old dark patina.
These were once plated in a silver coloured metal, possibly nickel.
Only traces of this remain, a new owner may choose to remove the remnants but I have not touched / cleaned them.
They have straight heel bands and buttons on each side, there is a slot below each button which holds a chain.
The outer arms of the spurs are decorated with a scalloped pattern.
They have large ten pointed rowels that spin freely.
There is a pair of jingle-bobs or pajados on the outer side of each rowel.
They look very like Buermann Model no. 1234 spurs but I cannot find any maker's marks or stamps on the spurs.
Total length 8¼" (21cm) Internal width approx 2?"(7.4cm), rowel 3?" (9.7cm)
Weight : 688g (1lb 8¼oz)
Ref : spur508
