A Single Abumi (Japanese Stirrup) decorated with Blossom
View BasketA single stirrup made of cast iron.
The outer surface of this stirrup is covered in an inlaid pattern of leaves and blossom in brass and copper coloured metals (three of the brass leaves are missing), the underside also has inlaid copper decoration
The stirrup is lined with original red lacquer which has three cracks but is quite stable.
There are three diamond shaped holes piercing the neck, the buckle tang is still present and moves.
It is signed on the front of the neck.
