Pair of Brazilian Estribos de Campaña - Sold
This design of stirrup is known as a bell ( estribo de campaña) or crown stirrup.
These stirrups are made of brass or bronze.
The curved arches have separate fixed suspension loops - the top bars are worn, these were working stirrups, not tourist souvenirs.
Below the pierced treads each has a metal skirt or bell. These are decorated with cast basketweave decoration and a horse's head on each side.
There are no maker's marks or stamps.
