A Decorated Spanish Stirrup - Sold

This stirrup is not stamped or marked,
It is made of brass.
It probably dates from the late nineteenth or early twentieth Century .
The sides of the stirrup are triangular and cast with a foliate design.
The stirrup was made so that the sides can swing from the top bar, and the stirrup can pivot relative to the stirrup leather.
It would have been one of a pair, possibly for military or ceremonial use? There are some very similar stirrups on display in the Museum of the Army in Madrid Dimensions : 4" (11cm) wide x 7" (17.8cm) tall x 6¼" (15.8cm) tread length,

Shipping

I will charge actual shipping costs (in this case first class with insurance), with no additional handling fees. I have quoted the cost for the UK - please email me for other destinations. I am happy to combine shipping costs if more than one item is bought.

Refunds

I will refund payment (minus shipping costs) if you are not happy with an item for any reason & contact me (promptly please) & return it. If I've described it inaccurately, I'll refund the shipping cost as well. If there has been damage in transit, please keep the item and the packaging until we have sorted out the insurance.
