A Vintage Leather Hunting Whip
View BasketThis whip has a staghorn handle, there are scratches on its surface from use and a couple of fine surface cracks.
It has a replacement brass gatepusher or crown shaped screw on its top
It has a silver collar with ribbed edges which is showing the signs of a long life - it is covered in small dents and the hallmark can no longer be seen - who knows how many gates this whip tackled ?
The stock or shaft is covered in dark brown braided leather which is in good condition
It has a replacement stitched keeper.
The whip has a braided leather thong with an old red cord lash
