This long whip dates from the late 19th Century.
It is longer than modern hunting whips.
It has a staghorn handle with a metal "crown" in the top to give grip when pushing gates.
It has a nickel collar which is has an aged dark patina.
The shaft or stock is made of golden brown malacca cane,
It has lost its leather loop or open keeper from its end but this could be replaced
(A future owner may wish to shorten the whip before replacing the keeper).
This whip could be restored for use today or it would look good on display
