A beautifully made steel spur with chiselled or cast diagonal bands of decoration. The short neck bends downwards and also has bands of decoration, it ends in an eight pointed star-shaped rowel.
Each arm ends in a decorated circular loop. There is a little rust on the lower part of one of these loops There are similar spurs in the Musée du Cheval in Saumur and the Civil Museum of Modena,
