1933 Gents Malacca Hunting Whip by Jonathan Howell - w1616
This whip has a staghorn or antler hook shaped handle.
It has a silver collar. This is hallmarked London 1933 and has the initials "J,H," in a diamond stamp for Jonathan Howell.
The stock or shaft is made of golden brown malacca cane, with its characteristic "teardrop" shaped cross-section.
It has its original leather open keeper or loop and a braided leather thong.
There is some surface crackling to the leather of the keeper and the thong has an old bound repair to the loop at its end
