This whip has a staghorn handle. There is a somewhat dented silver button stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London" on the heel of the staghorn. It has a two silver collars with ribbed edges. One is stamped "Swaine" and both are stamped with the silversmith's mark "ESA" the hallmarks are too rubbed to read. One collar is engraved "P.K.C" and dated 5.8.24. There are dents and dings in both collars. Between the collars the whip is covered in dark brown leather, this is probably a repair because the stitched seam is not on the usual side of the whip. There is an area of black binding at the end of the leather
The rest of the stock or shaft is covered in brown braided leather.
It has a replacement stitched leather keeper and a braided leather thong with a loop for a lash at its end.
