This whip has a staghorn handle. There is a silver button stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London" on the heel of the staghorn. It has a two silver collars with ribbed edges. One is stamped "Swaine" and both are hallmarked London 1973 and stamped with the silversmith's mark "RA". One collar is engraved "B.M.Foulquies" . Between the collars the whip is covered in tan leather.
The rest of the stock or shaft is covered in cream coloured braided linen.
It has its original stitched leather keeper and a braided leather thong with cord lash.
The whip is in very good condition, it appears to have hardly been used in its fifty years
