19th Century Sidesaddle Riding Whip with Bone Handle - w1458

This long fine whip has a hook shaped handle carved from bone. The underside is ridged to help grip gates etc.

There is a raised collar of braided thread .
The  shaft is also covered in brown braided thread
The whip has a vellum and cord lash bound onto its end.
