This is an early 20th century nickel silver driving bit . It has an aged, brown patina but could be burnished to a shine.
The cheeks are stamped "Adonis", "Nickel Silver", "Facer" and "Spalding". Harry Facer was a harness maker, I have found an image of his shop on the London Road in Spalding, dated 1906. The straight bar mouthpiece is half-twisted or reversible. The cheeks can turn, each has two curb rein slots.
The bit has its original nickel curb hooks and chain.
