This finely made tan leather bridle came from the house of a member of the imperial Habsburg family.
Its buckles are covered in very finely stitched leather to protect them from rusting.
It has a steel fixed cheek Weymouth curb bit with a port and a fine steel loose ring bridoon bit.
There is light surface rust on both bits, but these could be burnished off. The bridle is complete except for its reins and the leather is still supple.
