An old steel bit with quite a dark aged patina and a somewhat pitted but stable surface. It has circular cheeks with hanging loops on the top. One straight bar mouthpiece joins the cheeks, although they can turn. There is a second curved or mullen mouthpiece which passes through horizontal slots in the cheeks so that it can slide and rotate.
