A Black Throat Plume or Beard for a Rifle Brigade Officer's Horse - Cav032

This is a plume of black horsehair.
It is suspended from a silver coloured mount which is in the form of a globe and a fluted cone.
It is in very good condition
It has an old label attached which reads "Rifle Brigade Horse-hair plume c.1870"

Measurements :
Horsehair : approx 17 inches (43cm) long,
Socket 4¾ inches (12cm) long, 1½ inches (4cm) diameter
