This stainless steel bradoon bit has a jointed mouthpiece. There is a link on each bit ring, which attaches to a T bar. The bars slot through the lower ends of the bridle cheekpieces. These pieces allow the bit to be detached from the bridle, for feeding or watering.
There are two labels attached to the bit
The smaller label has a silver coloured seal stamped "MOD" It is titled "Prototype" and carries a NATO stock number and description of the bit
The larger is a Master Pattern label has a red seal stamped "Defence Clothing & Textiles Agency" It is dated 21/5/98 and describes the bit as "Bit bridoon with tee attachment stainless steel Finish to be brightly polished with no sharp edges. All details to be as standard pattern".
The back of the label is stamped "Obsolete" and dated 02/02/06
