A pair of good steel stirrups from the late 19th or early 20th century.
Their bases are stamped "Merry & Co" & "London". Merry & Co were a company of saddlers based at 4, St James St., Piccadilly from the late 19th to the early 20th Century
The arches of the stirrups taper upwards to integral suspension loops The hollow oval treads have hand punched marks to help grip
They have some light surface marks which could be polished off.
