These stirrups are made of a white metal, probably Alpacca or a similar nickel alloy. The footplates or treads taper towards the front, each has a large circular drainage hole. The semi-circular sides of the stirrup have scallopped edges and two petal shaped holes. There is an arch with a suspension loop across each top.
