A South American Bit with Silver Cheek Decoration - Bit246

This is a steel bit with a good aged patina.
It has a high port which is closed at its base. The mouthpiece is stamped "524".
It has curved cheeks or shanks with incised decoration.
The bit has two silver coloured cheek bosses which are domed and decorated.
