This tool was used to administer medication to horses It takes the form of a turned wooden tube with a shaped end It has a wooden plunger inside The medicine would be formed into a ball and placed in the hollow end of the tube. The tube would then be pushed towards the back of the horse's mouth (a gag could be used to keep the mouth open). The plunger would then be pushed to eject the pill. It is in good overall condition although it has a few expected bite marks and the handle of the plunger is chipped
