This is a branch cheek steel bit. It has a medium height port. The cheeks are curved, each bears a rein loop, there is a straight shackle bar. There is an round gilt brass cheek boss or badge on each side of the bit. Each cheek boss has a central queen's crown and a band around the edge which reads "Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry".
