This is a single hobble which could be used to tether a horse. It consists of a three-fold tan leather strap with a heavy steel buckle and loop.
There is a rope spliced onto the loop The leather is stamped "J.Hawley & Co. (W) Ltd 1939" in its centre and "G" with an ordnance broad arrow near its buckle.
It is in very good condition with hardly any signs of use Length of leather 23" (58cm)
