This is a tan leather browband. It has two rows of twisted blue cord fringing along its length.. It is stamped on its reverse "R.H.G." on one end and "14" with an ordnance arrow on the other end.
It waould have been used particularly in hot climates to keep flies out of a horse's eyes Length of fringing 10" (25cm), length of browband 18½" (47cm)
