This piece has a broad sheet of brass which would be positioned over a horse's nose.
It has stamped and engraved decoration
There are two small holes at the top and bottom of middle of the noseband - there may have held chains or pendants. Brass rings at each end of the noseband connect it to an iron chain made of figure of eight shaped links
