An early 20th Century Chinese lacquered saddle - saddle058

This saddle is constructed from wood and covered with black lacquer..

The outer surfaces of the front and rear bows are decorated with painted dragons.
The seat is decorated with painted flowers. The edges of the saddle are gilded, the gold leaf has worn on some of the corners.

Dimensions of saddle : 20" (51cm) x 14" (36cm) x 12"(30cm)
