A Mediaeval spur in excavated condition, this spur has a rowel which is fixed in position, most of the points have corroded away.
The arms of the spur are quite deeply curved to pass below the rider's ankle.
There are circular openings at the ends ofthe arms.
A rounded buckle is suspended from one side (it has lost its tine) and the remains of two hooks hang rom the other.
One can just make out where there was floral decoration on one of the arms.
The surface of the spur has been damaged by oxidation, but it has been cleaned and preserved, so should not deteriorate further.
