This is a slim sterling silver horn, it does sound quite well when blown. It would have been used to extinguish candles at the dinner table. It is hallmarked Chester 1923 and has the silversmiths stamp of E. Baker & Son. The three bands or ribs along its length are marked with a lion passant indicating sterling silver The bell is engraved"Grannie from Moyra 1925"
