This whip has an antler or staghorn handle carved as a hound's head.
There is a whistle in the handle, this works well.
There is a hairline crack in the horn above the mouthpiece of the whistle but this is quite stable. It has a silver coloured (probably nickel) collar with raised decoration depicting a fox mask and brushes
The short shaft or stock has a cross hatched pattern The whip has a its original small open rawhide keeper at its end and an intricately braided rawhide thong.
