Antique Copper Carriage or Motor Car Footwarmer

This late 19th or early 20th century footwarmer would have been used when travelling in an unheated carriage or motor car.

It would be filled with hot water

It is made of copper with strengthening copper ribs along its length.

It has brass loop handles at each end and seals with a brass screw cap.

It has a large dent in one end and many small dents and dings over its surface
.
