This antique riding whip has a gilded cap and collar with engine turned decoration.
The collar has a blank oval cartouche which could be engraved, there are no maker's stamps or hallmarks
There are some dents and dings on the cap and collar. Between the cap and collar, the grip is covered in cream coloured braided baleen. The long flexible whalebone stock or shaft is covered in braided thread. There is an area of wear near the end of the whip
The whip has a replacement lash at its end..
