Antique Horseshoe Whip or Coat Rack

This rack is made of dark stained wood, possibly beech..
It has eight wooden hooks resembling horseshoe nails with square heads.

One of the nail heads is missing a corner.

One of the raised pieces or calkins at the top of the horseshoe is a replacement. (please see the images)

The inside of the horseshoe is decorated with a carved horse's hoof and whip thong.

It is 16 inches (40.5cm) high and 14 inches (35.5cm) wide
Each weighs approx 2lb 2½oz (975g)
