This is a very light fine whip. It has a braided silver wire cap and collar with a silver (?plated) domed top to the cap.
Between the cap and collar, the grip is covered in finely braided black baleen or whalebone. The long slim shaft is covered in black braided thread.
It is very flexible through its lower third, probably too flexible to be carried as anything more than a decorative accessory The whip has the a replacement lash at its end.
