This is a late 19th or early 20th century mahogany boot jack - possibly a piece of officer's campaign equipment. It is made of red brown wood. It has two gilt brass hinges and two short wooden feet There are two carved recesses which hold folding steel boot pulls. One boot pull has a button hook on its end and the other a punch.
