A single iron South American spur with a very dark aged patina. This has a large twenty two pointed rowel which still turns freely.
One spoke of the rowel is broken The thick neck has incised decoration and the "kidney shaped" opening typical of the region. Each arm of the spur ends in a diamond shape with two slots for the spur straps and pierced decoration. There are no maker's marks or stamps
