This bridle is made of leather and lined with blue fabric.
The fabric has deteriorated in places The cheeks are embossed with a basketweave pattern. There are decorative brass or copper alloy plaques on the outer surfaces of the leather.
Similar examples can be seen in the Met. Museum in New York. This design of bridle can be seen from the 16th to the 20th Century
