Antique Twisted Baleen or Whalebone Riding Cane - w980

This cane is made of twisted baleen or whalebone.

It has a gold coloured cap with foliate decoration.
It has a small gold coloured ferrule on its end, there is a small split in this ferrule and an insect hole in the shaft just above the end (see images)
